Northern Education Trust Red House Academy celebrates GCSE results.
Students at Red House Academy, a member of Northern Education Trust’s network of seventeen schools, are celebrating record-breaking GCSE results today. The academy continues to build on its success, celebrating more sustained years of growth in combined English and mathematics pass rates. A record 79% of students passed both subjects, with impressive subject-specific outcomes showing 92% achieving a pass in English and 80% in mathematics.
Alongside these strong overall outcomes, the academy celebrated exceptional individual achievements, achieving its highest total of Grade 9s to date, with several individuals securing four or more Grade 9s across multiple subjects . These milestones highlight the dedicated effort of the students together with the steadfast support provided by the entire academy team.
Expressing his gratitude to students and staff for their dedication and commitment, Mr Michael Fairless, Principal of Red House Academy, stated: “Staff across the academy are beyond proud of the immense hard work, resilience, and commitment our students have shown throughout their studies. These record-breaking results are a direct testament to the calm, focused, and driven atmosphere that we have cultivated together. This environment empowers our young people to strive for excellence and achieve truly exceptional results. I am equally grateful to the parents, carers, local governors, and the trust board for their ongoing backing, as our students and staff could not succeed without it”
Dr Kendra Browness, Associate Executive Principal of Red House Academy, added her praise, saying: “These exceptional results are a testament to the relentlessly high levels of support and commitment from the dedicated team, which have enabled students to thrive and achieve. The warmth, care and guidance students received from Mr Fairless, all leaders, parents and wider stakeholders, allowed students to fully realise their potential, and we are enormously proud of what they have achieved as a result of their incredible efforts. We wish the students well in the next stage of their education knowing that they are fully prepared to continue their success.”
Jane Wilson, Chief Executive of Northern Education Trust, said: “These results reflect the hard work and commitment of the staff and students within the academy. The year on year improvement demonstrates the ongoing quality of education provided by the academy, and the exceptional desire of the students to succeed. We aim to enhance the life chances of the children and young people in our care, and these results are the culmination of their incredible efforts and dedication, allowing them to progress to the next stage of their lives with confidence in their abilities to succeed. We are extremely proud of our students and wish them every success with their futures.”
