iASPIRE launch
Northern Education Trust is delighted to introduce a new initiative for our students called iASPIRE.
iASPIRE is a set of ten challenges, designed to celebrate participation, achievement and accomplishment within and beyond the curriculum. It is intended to help motivate students, and help to push themselves out of their comfort zone; encourage them to make a positive contribution to their local community; and develop interpersonal and leadership skills.
By completing the iASPIRE challenges, students are preparing themselves for the next stage in their education, and in their lives.
At Key Stage 4, students will not only develop their cultural capital, but will also be able to show future colleges and employers that they value the importance of developing their whole character, as well as their skills outside the classroom.
Students will receive an iASPIRE passport, where they will record their achievement of each challenge, and badges will be awarded as they progress through the challenges:
| Bronze Badge | Completion of 4 iASPIRE challenges |
| Silver Badge | Completion of 6 iASPIRE challenges |
| Gold Badge | Completion of 8 iASPIRE challenges |
| Platinum Badge | Completion of 10 iASPIRE challenges |
Evidence may sometimes be required from home, which could be a signed note or an email to confirm the student has completed the challenge. Parents/carers will be invited to regular celebration assemblies, to see your child receive their badges, and student achievement will be celebrated through the weekly PROUD events, as well as various other methods within academies.
The challenges can be seen below:
